Vong
Com is a culinary specialty of Vietnam. This is a typical product of Vong village which was once called Hau village, in Dich Vong commune, Tu Liem district; now belongs to Dich Vong Hau ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi.

The profession of making com in Vong village originates from a legend: In the autumn of a thousand years ago, when the rice began to bend, it rained heavily, the wind was strong, the dyke broke, and the highest rice field in the field also sank. Vong villagers had to cut those young rice grains and bring them to dry roast, eat them gradually, and fight hunger. Unexpectedly, that reluctant product has its own flavor, very addicting, making Vong villagers often make it to enjoy every autumn. Every time you do it, you learn from experience and create more, so the nuggets are greener, thinner, more flexible, and more fragrant.

Com is wrapped in 2 layers of leaves: a layer of fresh leaves ensures that the nuggets do not dry out, and the outer layer is a layer of fragrant lotus leaves, tied in bright yellow sticky rice straw, making the dish even more flavorful.
